Parts of Speech:
Words can be basically differentiated into eight kind of classes called Parts of Speech according to the way they are used, i.e., according to their part in forming a sentence.
1)    Noun.
2)    Adjective.
3)    Pronoun.
4)    Verb.
5)    Adverb.
6)    Preposition.
7)    Conjunction.
8)    Interjection.

1)     A Noun is a word used as the name of a person, place, or thing.
a) Adam and Eve had an ideal marriage. He didn't have to hear about all the men she could have married, and she didn't have to hear about the way his mother cooked.
b) A diet is a selection of food that makes other people lose weight.
c) Never wrestle with a pig. You both get all dirty, and the pig likes it.
d) Hell has no exits. Heaven needs none.
2)     An Adjective is a word used to add something to the meaning of a noun.
a) A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.
b) A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. A loving word may heal and bless.
c) A clean tie attracts the soup of the day.
      3)   A Pronoun is a word used instead of a Noun.
a) Parents are so excited about the first steps and words of their children, but then they spend the next 17 years telling them to sit down and shut up.
b) The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist.
c) If you judge people, you will have no time to love them.
4)           A Verb is a word used to express an action or state.
a) Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there!
b) Summer vacation is a time when parents realize that teachers are grossly underpaid.
c) People are never too busy to tell you all that they have to do.
5)     An Adverb is a word used to add something to the meaning of a verb, an adjective or another adverb.
a) If the world is spinning so quickly, why don't we all get dizzy?
b) I must say that I find television very educational. The minute somebody turns it on, I go to the library and read a book.
c) A proud father phoned the newspaper and reported the birth of twins. The girl at the desk didn't quite catch the message. "Will you repeat that?" she asked. "Not if I can help it," he replied.
6)     A Preposition is a word used with a Noun or a Pronoun to signify how the thing or   person denoted by the Noun or Pronoun stands in relation to something else.
a) A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark.
b) 90% of men kiss their wife goodbye when they leave the house. The rest kiss their house goodbye when they leave the wife.
c) A cigarette is a pinch of tobacco, wrapped in paper, fire at one end, fool at the other.
7)     A Conjunction is a word used to join words or sentences.
a) God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
b) A good lecture should have a good beginning and a good ending, and they should be as close together as possible.
c) Alcohol preserves everything but not dignity.
8)     An Interjection is a word which expresses some sudden feeling.
a) Alas! She is dead.:- Loving Husband. Hurrah! She is dead.:- Harassed Husband.
b) Wow! What a beautiful piece of work!
